Free SHS Has Increased Teenage Pregnancies and Malaria- Otokunor
In a radio interview with Adakabre Frimpong Manso on Neat FM, Peter Boamah Otokunor said because of the double-track system, students are idling around and getting pregnant and infected with malaria.
The Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has alleged that the Free Senior High School (SHS) policy by President Akufo-Addo’s government has increased teenage pregnancies and malaria in the country.

In a radio interview with Adakabre Frimpong Manso on Neat FM, Peter Boamah Otokunor responding to media reports that Ex. President Mahama will abolish Free SHS if elected into office, denied the allegation.

Instead, he criticized the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government for the poor implementation and management of the Free SHS Policy. According to him, the lack of infrastructure has forced the NPP government to resort to double-track system.
He said because of the double-track system, students are idling around and getting pregnant and infected with malaria.

The NDC government, if elected to power in 2020, will cancel the double-track system, Otokunor adds.
