Sex Tape In Tamale: Couple Flogged Publicly

Nowadays, leaks of privately recorded sex tape abound. In a latest leaked video, a lady and gentleman in Tamale, are seen ‘doing the do’.

While many people have come out to condemned the tape, it is unclear who leaked it.

However, in a latest twist to the incident, reports have confirmed that the lady and gentleman who were caught in the latest sex tape in Tamale were flogged publicly under the instructions of the Chief of Tamale.

This has triggered some people, like Abdul Hayi Moomen of GTV, to ask questions including:

1. Whether the couple were flogged for having sex and recording it? Or for leaking the video? 
2. Also, is it a crime to record anything (including sex) provided it is for private use?
3. And do our state laws permit public flogging of anyone?
