At least ten people are believed to have been killed when an oil tanker crashed into three parked vehicles. The sad incident occured in western Uganda. The Congo-bound tanker was in transit from Kenya.

The explosion burnt the victims beyond recognition. Other nearby stores in the Kyambura market were also affected. Traders were counting their losses when emergency services arrived.

Victims of the accident have been taken to nearby health facilities. The death toll is expected to rise as the scene is a popular market with many people trooping in for business.

The accident comes just a little over a week, when a similar one happened in neighbouring Tanzania, where more than sixty people lost their lives.
