Meet The New Vibez Radio Kids On The Block, Nazizi and Chiki

Standard media group recently launched their new Radio station dedicated to purely reggae music, Vybez Radio. In light to this, they hosted a big launching party where they finally announced their new Radio hosts who happen to be familiar names. Old school Kenyan reggae musician Nazizi landed one of the coveted slots as did popular dance instructor and fiancee to Sauti Sol’s Bien, Chiki.

In a long caption on Instagram, Chiki shared “It’s been a long journey…. but it’s finally official. I am so proud to announce that I will be the host of the drive time show, Vybez Radio. What an honor. I remember being told off by my parents for playing dance hall, having Cd’s taken away, being told I can’t go out lol, not sleeping and raving all night before school in dingy underground dance hall, reggae and soca clubs. My love for the music, for the culture, for the vybe has been life long, and today it feels worth it. I want to say thank you to Reggae, to dance hall and to Soca for being the soundtrack to my life. I hope to do you justice.”

Nazizi also took to social media to announce the news which she had kept from her fans for about a month and the feedback was phenomenal. As a reggae lover and musician, being a radio presenter at a reggae radio station is perfect for the former Necessary Noise group member Nazizi. Vibez radio was made for her and her fans seem to agree.
