Omoyele Sowore To Remain In Prison
An Abuja court has refused to released Omoyele Sowore, the man behind Nigeria’s #RevolutionNow movement, against his detention by the secret police.
Justice Evelyn Maha told Omoyele Sowore and his aides she had no control over the case and urged to return to the judge who handled the case. She thus refused the former presidential candidate his release.
A judge had granted the State Security Service (SSS) the right to detain Mr Sowore for 45 days in order to allow the secret police to conclude investigations into alleged acts of treason and terrorism brought against the defendant.
