Little Girl Dies of Ebola in Uganda
A young Congolese girl has become the latest casualty of the deadly Ebola disease. She was diagnosed with Ebola in Uganda and died few days later.
She travelled with her mother to Uganda and was found to have had a fever during Ebola screening. The nine-year old girl was put in isolation at an Ebola unit for further scrutiny.
Her condition was later confirmed to be Ebola-rlated. Preparations are currently underway to send her corpse to her home country for burial. .
This is the third case of the disease recorded in Uganda. Earlier in June, two Ebola deaths were reported in the east African country. The country has since erected screening centres at the Congolese border.
