Meet Governor Sonko’s New Adopted Granddaughter

Published

Saumu Mbuvi, daughter to Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko added a new family member to the Sonko family. She met a little girl in a children’s home in Malindi and adopted her into the family. Governor Sonko is no stranger to adoption having at least three adopted children of his own that we know of. Saumu Mbuvi is clearly walking in her father’s shoes.

In a post shared on social media, Saumu wrote, “Yesterday I met such a beautiful Angel at Heart’s Children’s home, a child so pure and innocent but what she has gone through left me so broken and in tears. I agreed and vowed that she will be my responsibility and a new member of my family for the rest of my life. I’m so happy that i’m going to be a mother to such a beautiful soul…May God guide and protect this little Angel for me always.”

The now mother of two is used to doing frequent charity work. From her experience at the children’s home in Malindi, she shared that she was very fulfilled during the visit where she also paid tribute to her late mother. We commend her for this act of charity. More children can benefit from being raised in good and proper homes if more Kenyans start adopting.
