Nigeria seems to be serious with changing the long-held perception as the world’s fraud capital.
Barely a day after arresting Joseph Oyediran in Kwara state, two other wanted fraudsters were picked up at Port Harcourt, Rivers state and Owerri, Imo state.
The FBI has already arrested a large number of Nigerians in the United States and has also liaise with Nigeria’s Economic Financial Crimes Commission (NFCC) to arrest the wanted ones living in Nigeria.
The duo, Alpha Chidi Egbeanu and Ogbonnah Atoukaritou are considered ring leaders of a syndicate recently busted by the American Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI).
They were accused of perpetuating internet fraud.
