Pope Arrives In Mozambique For African Tour
Pope Francis has landed in Maputo, Mozambique’s capital for a three-day state visit. The head of the Catholic Church was met at the airport by President Filipe Nyusi, dancers and he also received a guard of honour.
Pope Francis has landed in Maputo, Mozambique’s capital for a three-day state visit. The head of the Catholic Church was met at the airport by President Filipe Nyusi, dancers and he also received a guard of honour.
Pope Francis will lead mass at the 42,000 seat Zimpeto National Stadium in Maputo. He will also have talks with government officials.
His African tour will also take him to Madagascar and Mauritius, both southern African nations.
