Ex-First Lady Of Zimbabwe, Cries To Obasanjo At The Funeral Of Her Late Husband, Robert Mugabe

The wife of the deceased Zimbabwean president, Robert Mugabe was pictured with teary eyes when the ex-president of Nigeria, Olusegun  Obasanjo went consoling her.

Robert Mugabe died last Friday in a hospital in Singapore after a long illness. His body was flown back to his country for his final funeral rites which were supposed to have taken place today in Zimbabwe.

According to the Zimbabwean President in a statement, Mugabe will be buried at the National heroes monument but the family including the widow are not in favor of the funeral arrangements.

Reports coming in state that, the burial of the ex-president will be delayed for another 30 days as the family is against his burial place. The family has said that they want their relatives buried in his village home with the widow, Grace Mugabe insisting on a private burial place.

The new arrangement now is for him to be buried in a special site in the National heroes monument, a spokesperson of the family said. This special site is to be built within 30 days.

“The construction will take about 30 days to complete,” Leo Mugabe said. “The burial will not take place until it is finished.” He said Mugabe’s body would be preserved until then.

A picture of the National Sports Stadium where his funeral was to be held showed a half-filled stadium as most people are angry about the way he treated his people during the latter end of his reign and claimed that he become a tyrant to his own people.
