Two Nigerian Men Lost Their Lives As Drugs They Swallowed Burst During Flight

Two Nigerian men identified as Chigozie Aniagbado and Chiji Ogbuefi, died on a flight from Brazil to Ethiopia.

An eyewitness who was seated beside one of the Nigerians recounted the incident. He said the flight was 12-hour journey, and the young man asked him to check the flight map to know how far they had traveled.

He checked and informed him they were halfway through the journey.

“It was then that he revealed to me he doesn’t know if he will make the journey alive. Confiding in him that “it seems the drugs he swallowed must have expired and its stay in his system.”

However, minutes after drinking water and olive oil he started panicking and shivering and fell down.

At that point, doctors in the plane assembled to attend to him including testing his blood for sugar levels and high blood pressure.

The doctors had to put him on oxygen but he was vomiting blood and gasping out and his progress of recovery seemed slow.

At the same, another Nigerian passenger on the flight whose name was identified as Chiji Ogbuefi started exhibiting similar reactions.

The pilots had to initiate an emergency landing because according to them, saving their lives was a priority regardless of their crime.

But the emergency landing was delayed because the next available country for landing was said to be on Ebola alert, so the flight proceeded while they were on oxygen.

Unfortunately the two lost their lives before the flight could land.
