Police Gun Down Armed Robber On Tamale-Kintampo Highway, 5 Others Flee
The masked robbers tried attacking a Paga bound O.A bus between Attakura and Dawadawa number 1 in the Kintampo North District of the Bono East Region.
One suspected armed robber has been gunned down while five of his accomplices have fled into the bush after they were met with full force on the Tamale-Kintampo highway on Friday afternoon.

The masked robbers tried attacking a Paga bound O.A bus between Attakura and Dawadawa number 1 in the Kintampo North District of the Bono East Region.
According to the driver, on reaching a scene of the attack, he observed that about six masked armed men dressed in all black ordered a #Tamale bound articulated truck with registration number GN 366 – 18 loaded with bags of cement to cross the high way ahead of the bus.
The six armed men each armed SB shot guns got on the road and flagged down the bus and whilst four of the robbers went to the driver’s side two of them came to open the passenger side door to start robbing the passengers.
According to a police situational report sighted, the police escort on the bus shot and killed one instantly.

The rest sensing danger returned fire which hit only the side of the bus after which they run into the bush.
A Kintampo Highway patrol rushed to the scene but could not trace the robbers.

Two daggers and black mask were found at the scene, however the deceased robber was removed from the scene and deposited at Kintampo Government Hospital mortuary pending identification and autopsy.
