A video showing black kids being punished and forced to speak Chinese has gone viral on social media.

According to the Twitter user (@parlabest) who posted the video, it depicts an act of evil Chinese imperialism in Africa. As at the time of publication, the video has had over 31,000 likes and 26,000 retweets.

The kids are heard speaking Chinese in the video. Replying to the above video, one user posted a translation of what was being said.

According to the transcript, the kids were forced to sing a national Chinese song of a sort which is titled ‘big China’.

And essentially, the kids in the video were saying: “We all have one family that name called Nation China“, said another Twitter user.

Some of the lyrics and translation are noted as below:

‘We all have a home called China’
‘Lots of brothers and sisters are there and also a nice view’
‘In that home are two dragons, Yangtze River and Yellow River’

Since the video went viral, many commentators have expressed outrage at the treatment being meted to the children in the video regardless of their nationality.
