Pulse Nigeria Threatens To Sue Nigerian Blogger Cutie_Julls

Pulse Nigeria, a media publisher in Nigeria has threatened to sue blogger Cutie_Julls for infringement, a post on Cutie_julls instagram page revealed.

Pulse called out Cutie_julls for sharing a story without crediting them and so asked that Cutie does the needful else face them in court. The issue didn’t go down well with Cutie as she replied to them with a lengthy message on her blog.

She wrote, ‘Dear Pulse Nigeria, I am patiently waiting for your legal team to serve me on copyright infringement. If you were not in a hurry to type something that you more likely have no proper understanding of, you would have taken time to read my caption and know that I credited you by stating that the interview was done with your media company.

The video was sent to me by a follower who could be anyone. You could be from the interviewee’s team, your team or a random person. I credited you when I found out that you were the people who granted the interview. Please, I don’t make empty threats at me especially when it has to do with legal stuff. I committed no crime here. There was nothing on the video that suggested it’s your intellectual property.

All those pictures and videos on your page that you pick off the internet for your reports, do you credit anyone? No. You even put your logos on celebrity pictures which you clearly did not send your cameramen to take. Please kindly do your research on copyright before coming at me next time. Thank you ‘.

Just an hour after Cutie_julls made the post, she deleted it from her instagram page. We, however, do know if it’s because she has accepted her offence and gone to render an apology to Pulse Nigeria.
