A Plus Says Government Should Convert GBC Into A Zoo Because They’re Useless

Kwame Asare Obeng alias A Plus, the Ghanaian musician-turned-social commentator and founder of The People’s Project (TPP), has given a damning verdict on the nation’s broadcasters Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC).

According to A Plus, the institution GBC is a useless entity and it would be better if it was converted to a zoo.

Reacting to rumors that he was the topic of discussion on Uniq Fm- an Accra based radio station which is a subsidiary of GBC, A Plus said in a Facebook post that:

“I was reliably informed that Uniiq fm (GBC fm) used their morning show to insult me for close to an hour this morning because I said government should convert that facility into a zoo.”

“The fact of the matter is that, management of GBC is very useless and a waste of taxpayers money. GBC management and staff are the reason why people don’t go to school.”

“Most of you there have degrees but can’t do what UTV or Adom TV with less degree holders are doing. Why will people be encouraged to go to school? GBC is a bad influence on the youth.”

“Which competent management will show telenovelas on our national TV at prime time? You have caused financial loss to the state and must be ashamed of yourself.”

GBC is big enough for a forest reserve. It is better to have zebra, elephant, monkey, kwaakwaadobi, opro, dabodabo and hippopotamus roaming there for tourist to watch and pay than useless educated illiterates roaming there and wasting taxpayer’s money.
