Tragedy in Makueni County: Toddler Dies After Chocking on Bread
Utawanga Village in Makueni County is in mourning after a child chocked to death on 27th December on a piece of bread at home.
Utawanga Village in Makueni County is in mourning after a child chocked to death on 27th December, 2019. The toddler chocked on a piece of bread and despite efforts, passed away.
Upon the incident, the boy was rushed to Mbooni Sub-County Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival. His body was taken to the Makueni County Referral mortuary awaiting postmortem.

The boy’s father reported the incident to the police which happened yesterday at lunch time. “Mr. Richard Ngao reported that his son of 18 months chocked while feeding on a slice of bread,” said Makueni County police commander.
Parents and care givers are advise to take training classes on child care and what to do in case of an emergency such as chocking.
