Donald Trump Says Iran Will Never Have A Nuclear Weapon But Should We Be Scared?

If there would ever be a World War III, weapons of mass destruction such as nuclear weapons and atomic bombs will feature prominently in it.

In today’s era of technological advancement, a World War III will be brutally devastating to the human race, given that nuclear, chemical and other weapons that can kill and bring significant harm to numerous humans and also cause great damage to properties and the environment exist.

Rumors, and on the lighter side jokes, about an imminent World War III started making rounds on the internet and social media when the President of the United States of America (USA), Donald Trump, ordered an airstrike which killed General Qassem Soleimani, the head of Iran’s elite Quds military force.

The aftermath of the General’s death has been fraught with tensions between the US and Europe and Iran and their respective allied forces. As the world watches on, hopes and expectations are that these tensions would not escalate into something worse- a World War!

Against the backdrop of Qassem Soleimani’s death, Iran- which is an uranium rich country- decided on Sunday to back off from its uranium enrichment nuclear deal that puts certain limits on how they use their uranium resource.

As a background to the above, uranium is the resource used in the production of nuclear weapons. Which is why in 2015, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and Iran signed a pact to regulate their uranium usage.

Now that the country has decided to be longer bound to the agreement, there is the potential that Iran can build massive nuclear weapons.

However, President Trump in a tweet has said that Iran will never have a nuclear weapon.
