Diamond Platnumz Stuns Audience With his Performance at CAF Awards in Egypt

Renowned Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz aka Simba is already having the best year only 8 days into 2020.

The artist got to perform on the world stage in front of famous world football stars at the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Awards in Egypt.

The much anticipated event took place on Tuesday night, January 7. Diamond who was dressed like a million bucks got to interact with great footballers and officials.

The father of 4 even took photos with FIFA president, Gianni Infantino and the secretary General of FIFA madam Fatma Samoura at the red carpet.

He took several more snaps and videos with those who attended the event, moments before the event commenced.

When he took to the stage, he gave an electric performance singing great hits such as Yope and Tetema. He was even joined on stage by the likes of Mohammed Salah and Sadio Mane as he wowed the crowd with his energy.

Diamond is definitely on a roller coaster that only goes up in his career. Tanzanian President John Pombe Magufuli himself rang the star during his end of year Kigoma 10 concert.

The president wished him all the best in 2020 and congratulating him for a successful career. Tanzanians even suggested that he should be immortalized in a statue.

In a recent interview with Bongo 5 radio, Diamond Platnumz said it would be an honor if the country saw it fit to reward him with such a gesture.

He is definitely a fan favorite and an icon in the country. He might even run for president some day after retiring from music. We’ll see.
