This Is Year Of Copying- Wanlov Names Ghanaian Artistes Who Copied His Rap Style

It’s not far from right to say this year 2020 has started as the Year of Copying in the Ghanaian music and entertainment arena.

Not too long ago, Ghanaian actress and now ex-girlfriend of rapper Medikal, Fella Makafui was accused by Wanlov De Kubolor and his sister Sister Derby for trying to copy the latter’s fashion style.

The jokes about copying have made rounds on the internet and social media. It seems to be clear that music lovers appreciate unique styles of artistes.

For instance, Bosom P-Yung instantly became an internet and social media sensation after releasing his music video for Atta Adwoa because of his unique style.

So a twitter user, making a comment on Boson P-Yung’s style said that he noticed the style might have been influenced by Ghanaian musician Okomfuor Kwadea. And throwing a shade at Wanlov, he added that “nobody is trying to rap like Wanlov though”.

The twitter user’s tweet reads as follows: “You can notice Kwadee’s influence on Attaa Adwoa. Nobody is trying to rap like Wanlov though.”

In response, Wanlov only decided to list some artistes who have copied his rap style.

According to him, Joey B, Worlasi, Kay Ara, Lil Shaker, EL, Sister Deborah and Lykay are all among the artistes who try to rap like him.
