Taking to the stage to receive the Soundcity MVP 2020 award, Khaligraph said “My name is Khaligraph Jones and I’m the best rapper in Africa.”

An excited Khaligraph took to his social media to thank his fans and celebrate his win.

“Thank you so much fam, biggest achievement of my career. Never give up on your dream.

No matter what people say about it and about you, stay hungry and God will always come through,” he wrote on Instagram.

Khaligraph was also the only artist from East Africa who was awarded in last night’s Sound City Awards.

A Nigerian rapper was not so happy with Khaligraph’s win and made sure to sound his disapproval on social media.

The rapper Blaq Bonez claimed that he was more deserving of the trophy. He insisted that sound city made a huge mistake.

He even promised to release a dis track dedicated to Khali for his “undeserved” win.

Haters will always hate but to Khaligraph, congratulations on the win.
