It’s been about a week since Citizen TV’s Willis Raburu and his wife Mary Prude lost their daughter.

The tragic incident happened during a complicated birth where Mary Prude gave birth to the angel still born.

Since then, Willis has taken a break from TV and radio in order to deal with the loss and mourn with his devastated wife.

“I am therefore going to be taking a short break from from work and my duties on 10 Over 10, Citizen TV, Hot 96 FM and Hot Happy Hour to allow my wife and I to get through the motions,” wrote Willis on 3rd December.

He has since then written a bit more about their healing process on his Instagram.

He shared that as a creative, writing about his feelings helps with his grief process. It helps him embrace his pain.

“I’ll keep writing, I’ll keeps sharing because we must embrace pain. We must; we can wish it away, pray it away, hide it away…but we must go through it,” he wrote in his recent Instastories.

“I still hurt each day, I still get flashbacks, I still cry, I still grieve and I do so privately but my outlets are sometimes public and i’m not ashamed of it.”

Willis acknowledged that he knows many other people might have suffered what he and his wife went through.

However, he spoke against people comparing their pain and healing process to that of others.

According to him, everyone’s pain is different so is everyone’s healing process. Even his own wife is dealing with their tragedy in a different way compared to him.

Mary Prude openly shared a few days ago that she is angry with God. She felt he abandoned her when she needed him the most.

Her comment was received with a lot of criticism especially from religious leaders. She has since gone silent on social media.

“Will I ever be the same? NEVER, but I will Be, that’s what I’m trying to do, I’m just trying to be,” wrote Willis ending his thread of stories on Instagram.
