According to Rex Omar, who happens to be the head of the Ghana Music Authority, both Shatta Wale and Stone Bwoy are not bigger than any other artiste so the due punishment that needs to be melted on the two must be irrespective of their fan base and influence in the industry. Rex Omar made this assertion when he was interviewed on Media General’s radio station 3FM which is based in Accra this afternoon.

I don’t get the people who claims that the two musicians must be reinstated into the prestigious award scheme after they were banned for taking their age long feud to another level during the last edition of the VGMAs.” the legendary musician said.

He further added that, “Principles are principles; if the organizers, Charterhouse wants continuation of what happened then Charterhouse should lift the ban. If someone had died that very night, and the one who killed the person went to jail, and because of Presidential pardon he came back from jail, would we still allow that person back in the Scheme?

Listeners who phoned in after the interview agreed to the stance of the musician as other faction also disagreed and begged Charter House who happens to be the organizers of the event to bring the two on board since they happen to be a huge source of income for the event.
