Video: This 10 Year Old Reverend Has Everyone Talking After Watching Him Preach

You’ve heard of 10 year old singers and 10 year old dancers but have you heard of 10 year old reverends?

10 year old Reverend Victor Githu who was recently interviewed on TV shared that he discovered his gift of ministry at 5 years.

In his Sunday interview on NTV’s Crossover 101 Show, the boy said ”I used to stand on stools and minister to children using a maize cob as a microphone.”

Reverend Githu who is very eloquent in his speech is also quite educated in the scriptures of the bible.

As the video of his interview circulated on social media, many Kenyans expressed their thoughts on the boy. As usual, the critics were more than supporters.

“This is just a phase for now…puberty will hit hard and turn things around for him..he will be like Andrew Kibe,” read one comment on twitter.

For those of you who do not know Andrew Kibe, he is a notorious Kiss 100 presenter who is known for his philandering ways.

Another comment read “Just wait till he meets Caro and Shiro and experience a proper heartbreak…he will change.”

“It’s January, this boy should go to school and stop talking like some fake American. Even the cool kids don’t speak like this,” wrote a user on twitter.

“Doesn’t one have to study theology to become a reverend?” inquired one tweet.

Another comment read “This boy has skipped several stages of childhood and is now a mini adult. 20 years from now he will be in a nursing home.”

Majority of the comments online are against this young boy being a reverend. However, not even his mother could stop him from preaching.

The reverend apparently tried to commit suicide at 5 years of age when his mother tried to stop him from preaching.

“I told myself, ‘you lady if you do not want me to preach, it is better I commit suicide’.

But as I was trying to tie the rope, I remembered I needed to say goodbye to my brother. My brother stopped me from suicide and talked to my mother.”

So, say whatever you want but calling or phase, this 10 year old is a reverend and will not let anything stop him from preaching.
