Pastors Who Take Tithes And Offertory Are Evil – T. B. Joshua

Founder and leader of the Synagogue Church Of All Nations (SCOAN), Prophet TB Joshua in his latest church sermon has made some serious revelations that comes as a caution to his colleague pastors inside and outside Nigeria.

The anointed hand of God advised his fellow pastors who aims at taking tithes and offertory from the poor masses to be cautious of their action as it is deemed evil in the sight of his caller; Jesus Christ.


In the church sermon which was monitored by africacelebrities.com on his own TV network, Emmanuel TV, the renowned televangelist said it’s prudent for pastors to desist from coaxing congregants to part away their monies in the form of tithes and offertory and rather allow them to do so from their own free will.

He said: “It’s Scriptural to ask for offering and tithes but it has to come from the heart,”

Anything that does not come from your heart becomes a curse to the person you give… We ministers’ of God should allow the congregation to bless us, not curse us with their possessions.” the cleric added.

The prophet of God drew an analogy from a case of people who attain wealth through bribery and corruption, insisting that the repercussions are evil. “If you collect a bribe, you can’t get anywhere with it. You may be rich now but at the end of your life, you will cry,” he continued.

He added by saying: “Let me suffer now and laugh tomorrow. Let me be poor now and blessed tomorrow. That should be the life we live.”
