VIDEO: Ex-President Rawlings Teases Jealous Onlookers After Kissing Nana Ama McBrown On The Cheek

Former President of Ghana and founder of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Flt Lt. Jerry John Rawlings is an interesting character even beyond politics.

Some of the fondest memories of the ex-president in the entertainment arena in Ghana are the famous ‘boom’ speeches he’s made in the past which are often used as jingles on many radio and television channels in the country.

Aside that, JJ Rawlings, as he is often called, is such an intriguing personality who has a presence of humor and warmth whenever he’s in public or interacts with media people.

In a video sighted by AfricaCelebrities.com, Rawlings had been sandwiched by two people- one of whom is Nana Ama McBrown- as they posed to take a picture.

Distracted by what was going on, Rawlings failed to look at the camera the first time the picture was taken. So he apologized and asked that the photo should be take again.

Then after the picture was taken, Nana Ama- who was already in Rawlings’ embrace- looked up to him as if to check why he was apologizing and at the same time doing so with smiles all over her face.

Upon seeing the look on Nana Ama’s face, Rawlings offered a gentle peg on Nana Ama’s cheek and it was received with warmth.

While both of them were reacting to the incident with laughter, Rawlings jokingly teased- as if to say ‘I know you people are going to make a big deal out of this’- saying in Ga ‘eey someone is dead back there‘.
