The report shared by the U.S Mission in Abuja, Nigeria was captioned as ‘Drama as US Embassy Denied Bishop Oyedepo visa’ but the Embassy denied the incident as fake news.
The statement was made on the social media platforms of the US Mission in Nigeria, which was sighted by AfricaCelebrities.com on Twitter.
According to the statement, the report was false and encouraged others to share in order to defeat the misinformation.
The tweet reads as follows: “#FalseNews Alert! Be advised, the reports making the rounds about a visa being denied to Nigerian Bishop Oyedepo are false.”
