The NBA star, together with some others, died after they were involved in a helicopter crash in California. The crash was said to have happened in Calabasas and everyone on board died.

It was confirmed that Bryant’s 13-year-old daughter, Gianna Bryant, was aboard the helicopter that crashed.

Later after the news broke out, the identities of the other people aboard were revealed and reports clearly indicated that Kobe Bryant’s wife, Vanessa, was not among the dead.

Authorities and reports claimed that the helicopter crashed amid foggy conditions, leaving behind a fiery wreck and killing all the people aboard.

There have been conspiracy theories according to Dr. Umar Johnson that Kobe’s helicopter’s propeller was sabotaged.

Reports of the latest surround Kobe’s death is that Vanessa Bryant has sued the company that owned the helicopter that crashed, which killed her husband Kobe, her daugther Gianna and 7 others.

Vanessa claims that the aircraft should never have been placed in the peril it was in before the January 26 accident.

Among the many allegations, the lawsuit alleges that the company, Island Express, was only allowed to fly under visual flight rules, and the conditions the day of the crash were not conducive for such flying.

The lawsuit also claims the pilot was going 180 miles per hour in the heavy fog and in a steep decline in the moments leading to the crash.

Again, the lawsuit claims the pilot failed to properly monitor and assess the weather prior to takeoff, failed to maintain control of the helicopter and failed to avoid “natural obstacles” in the flight path.

The suit also asks for damages for “pre-impact” terror — damages for the emotional trauma Kobe and Gigi suffered as the pilot struggled to get out of the clouds before the crash.

The lawsuit does not list an amount of damages sought, but Vanessa is asking for punitive damages, claiming the pilot and Island Express were reckless, and the damages could be untold millions.
