19-Year Old Boy Stabs Friend To Death Over Loaf Of Bread

A 19-year old junior high school student identified as Richard Baako has allegedly stabbed a friend to death at Kwamikrom, a suburb in the Ahanta West Municipality of the Western Region of Ghana.

According to reports, Richard was engaged in a heated argument with a colleague (name withheld) over a loaf of bread after he returned from snail hinting trip that day.

The Assemblyman for Aboadi Fasis, Osagyefo Stephen Rowell narrated the story to the media saying Richard and a group of boys returned hungry from snail hunting at about 11pm and decided to buy a loaf of bread cost GHc4.

The deceased walked on the scene and confronted the group for using rusted knife to share the bread and a misunderstanding broke between him and Richard. After falling on the floor in a struggle, the knife stabbed the deceased in the chest, He continued.

Body of the has been reportedly deposited at the Dr Mensah Mortuary at New Amnful, near Apowa while the suspect, Richard is currently being detained at the Agona Nkwanta Police Station for questioning, ghanaiantimes newspaper reports.
