President Of Ghana Frees 808 Prisoners Under Amnesty
The President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has granted an official pardon to some 808 prisoners serving terms for various degrees of crime.

783 first offenders who have served half of their sentence, 11 prisoners in critical health condition and 3 aged prisoners were granted amnesty according to a statement released by the Director General of Prisons, Patrick Darko Missah.

In the statement, it was recorded that seven prisoners on death row would have their sentence reduced to life imprisonment and four life sentenced prisoners lessened to 20 years definite term.
