Fc Barcelona Players Agree A 70% Pay Cut Amid Coronavirus Crisis In Spain

One of the numerous teams that have been hit by the novel pandemic remains the Spanish side Barcelona.

The team was over the weekend in talks with its players as they wanted to seal an agreement to a pay cut with the players following the novel pandemic which has brought a stop to the ongoing Spanish la Liga.

Management of Fc Barcelona have decided to let go off 70 percent of their salaries amid the coronavirus crisis in Spain.

The decision is help support the club to pay other staff as non-football activities due to the pandemic is affecting the club’s finances.

Initial reports were that Barcelona players had decided not to accept pay cut but captain Messi said the decision was delayed as the players were “looking for a formula to help the club”.

Spain’s national death toll now stands at 7,340, making it the worst-affected country in the world behind Italy.
