Mandatory House-To-House COVID-19 Testing Exercise To Begin In Ghana Today
A compulsory door-to-door Coronavirus testing is set to begin today Wednesday, April 1, 2020 in the Ayawaso West Municipality in the Greater Accra Region, Municipal Health Directorates announce.

The 10-days activity is said to trace and test residents in the Ayawaso West Municipality after the area was identified with relatively high COVID-19 cases.
Areas such as Legon, Dzorwulu, East Legon, Okponglo, Abelenkpe, Roman Ridge, Airport Residential and surrounding communities will be tested during this period according to reports from health authorities.

A statement from the health authorities read, “directive from the National Level has been given to conduct a COVID-19 contact tracing of all persons who have come into contact with COVID-19 positive patients…and conduct compulsory house to house testing of every individual residing in Ayawaso West Municipality”.
The authorities also urged residents in this areas to remain calm and ” cooperate with the team of health personnel and the security agencies to ensure the success of the exercise.”
