It’s Now A Legal Matter- Lawyers Of Ghanaian Musician Trigmatic Demand Afia Schwarzenegger To Apologize For Defamatory Statements

Lawyers of Ghanaian musician Trigmatic have issued a legal notice to the outspoken Afia Schwarzenegger demanding her to apologize and retract an alleged defamatory statement she made against the musician on her YouTube page.

The letter from Trigmatic’s lawyers reads as follows:

We write as Solicitors for ENOCH NANA YAW ODURO, who is popularly referred to as “Trigmatic upon whose instructions we write this letter

We are informed by our Client that on the 17 of April 2020, you published a statement on your youtube page accusing our Client of having an adulterous relationship with a wife of Dr. Kwaku Oteng and fathering a child with her. Your statements have been published by various media (mainstream and social platforms and outlets.

We have the instructions of our client to unequivocally deny the contents of your statement and further state our Client has never had any form of inappropriate relationship with the said lady at any point in time, either before she got married or during her said marriage.

Our Client is a married man with a child who believes in upholding the virtues of the institution of marriage. Our Client is respected in the eyes of well-meaning Ghanaians and Nationals of other countries as evidenced by the numerous awards he has received and the various events he has been invited to, both home and abroad.

Your unfounded statements which were calculated at carrying such obnoxious meaning has lowered his image and reputation in the eyes of the general public. Our Client has since the publication of these lies on your page has been dealing with numerous telephone calls from persons known to him from Ghana and other parts of the world, inquiring about your statement.

In the light of the above, we have the instructions of our Client to demand that you retract the statement you made on your youtube page and other social media platforms and issue an unqualified apology to be published by all media outlets in Ghana at your prompting as well as on all your social media handles, within 72 hours of your receipt of this letter.

Please note and notice is hereby given that if you do not oblige the intimations contained in this letter, we will not hesitate to carry out our Client’s instructions to seek full legal redress against you for such defamatory statements and against the other media outlets which have published same.
