National Chief Imam Celebrates 101 Years Of Life
Sheikh Nuhu Osman Sharubutu, the National Chief Imam of Ghana, turned 101 years old today.
He was born to Sheikh Imam Nuhu Sharubutu, a residential Imam and Hajja Ayishatu Abbass on April 23, 1919.
Sheikh Osman was appointed Deputy Regional Chief Imam of Ghana in 1974 after a lengthy discussion among Islamic scholars and the traditional and tribal chiefs.
He served as acting Greater Accra Chief Imam until he was appointed as the National Chief Imam of Ghana in 1993 to head the Ghanaian Muslim Community.

On his 100th birthday in 2019, the centenarian joined the mass service at a Catholic church in Accra to mark the glorious occasion.
Sheikh Nuhu Osman is celebrated for his unique leadership skills, his intellectual capacity and passion to teach to good news in the holy book.
