In 2012, Ghana was leading the revolution of African music with one tune ‘Azonto Music’.

With the sound, came a dance so enticing that American Pop singer Chris Brown learnt the moves and used it in his music video.

For those who still do not know what Azonto is, it’s a dance and fast-pace tempo music genre from Ghana. The dance and music became popular in the year 2013 with all most every African music drawing inspiration from it.

Musicians like Guru, Keche, Sarkodie, Gasmilla, E.L, Fuse ODG and Stay Jay leading the course for world domination. Ghana was back on top and gained world recognition after High Life.

The genre disappeared all of a sudden but thanks to Sarkodie, few weeks ago, reignited the fire with his Bring Back Azonto agenda.
