Segun Arinze, Ali Baba And Other Celebrities Appointed By Buhari To Advice Government On Coronavirus
President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the nomination of a group of Nigerian entertainment figures into a coronavirus committee.
The group is to advice the government on how to mitigate the heavy effect the pandemic is having on the entertainment industry.
The committee is headed by ace comedian Ali Baba with Anita Eboigbe, an astute journalist acting as the secretary.

Other members of the Committee are Bolanle Austen Peters, Charles Novia, Segun Arinze, Ali Jita, Baba Agba, Kene Okwuosa, Efe Omoregbe.
Prince Daniel Aboki, Chioma Ude, Olumade Adesemowo, Dare Art Alade and Hajia Sa’a Ibrahim are the remaining members.
This was confirmed in Abuja by the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed at a meeting with the Broadcasting Organisations of Nigeria, BON.
The minister added that the terms of reference of the committee include assessing the expected impact of the pandemic on the entertainment industry.
He also noted that the committee is to suggest the type of taxation and financing that is will work for the industry at this difficult times to sustain growth and save jobs.
