JUST IN: Buhari Appoints Ibrahim Gambari As New Chief Of Staff
Nigerian president, Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Ibrahim Gambari as his new Chief of Staff.
Though there has not been any official confirmation, a declaration of gratitude from the Ilorin monarch, Abdulazeez Arowona gives credence to the news.

Prof. Ibrahim Gambari brings to the presidency, a rich background of public service where he served most as a diplomat.
The 75 year old Columbia trained scholar had a stint with the United Nations where he served as Under-Secretary General during the tenure of Ban Ki-Moon.

He also served as Foreign Minister of Nigeria between 1984 and 1985. He is an indigene of Ilorin, Kwata State, north-central Nigeria.
He is currently chairman of Abuja-based thinktank, Savannah Centre for Diplomacy, Democracy and Development, which he founded.

He replaces Abba Kyari who died last month after contracting the coronavirus disease.
