Police Arrests Nigerian Man Who Defrauded German Lady Of 10,000 Euros Through Internet Dating

The Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corp (NSCDC) in Anambra State has apprehended a Nigerian man for allegedly duping a German lady through a dating site.

Public relations officer of the command, ASC Edwin Okadigbo, said in a statement that Chigozie Ndubusi Kizzito reportedly robbed the German national off the sum of 10,000 Euros.

According to the officer, a complaint was lodged at the station on 29/04/2020 by one Barrister Jideofor Chinwuba, Esq. on behalf of his client, one Ms Oyeleke Patricia Magdalena, ‘F’, a German.

He added that investigations reveal the two met on a dating site in August 2019 on a dating site where the culprit began to build their love story.

“Preliminary investigations reveal that the suspect allegedly met the victim in August 2019 on a dating site, Lesarion, where a supposed relationship was consummated, and from November 2019 till March 2020, the suspect defrauded the victim of 10,000 Euros. 

“The suspect has equally made a voluntary confessional statement to the NSCDC.” he added.

ASC Edwin Okadigbo added that the case would be handed over to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for further investigations and prosecution.
