Policeman Shoots Wife And Then Kills Himself Over Wife’s Alleged Infidelity

A Kenyan policeman has died from a self-inflicted gun shot. Constable Micheal Siwalo shot his wife in the stomach.

Believing his wife is dead, he turned the gun to his chest and killed himself. The gunshots drew neighbours in the barracks who rushed in to ascertain the problem.

Fortunately his wife, Silvia Ramat Letei, 25, survived the gunshot though she had bled profusely. She was immediately taken to the hospital for medical attention.

Preliminary investigations revealed that young couple were facing marital problems with the deceased husband always accusing his wife of cheating on him.

Their bedroom looked messy after the incident thereby pointing to a scuffle before the gunshots were fired.

The gun recovered at the scene was the same one he was given by the police for use in patrol duties as the east African country is placed under a curfew because of the coronavirus disease.
