Man Arrested For Raping Daughter For Eight Years

The Nigerian police has arrested a 50-year old father for defiling his daughter since she was 11. The victim who is now 18 had endured the incestuous ordeal for eight years now.

The sad incident confirmed by the Lagos police spokesperson, Bala Elkana became public after the suspect’s 45-year-old wife reported it to the Ikotun police.

The dastard act was uncovered by his wife after she observed her daughter’s disrespect to her father. She reprimanded the girl for her behaviour.

It was during her interrogation that the girl revealed to her mother the forced sex her father has been having with her.

The girl also added that her father threatened to kill her if she went public with their relationship. This was the reason of her silence all these years.

The suspect has been charged at the Chief Magistrate Court ll Ogba in Lagos, on five counts of incest, rape, sexual harassment, defilement and sexual assault.

The court has agred to the prosecutor’s demand and remanded the suspect to prison for a month for thorough investigation. The case has been adjourned until June 15,
