Davido Surprised After Seeing Photo Of His First Demo CD – Recalls His Humble Beginnings In Music

BET award winning Nigerian singer Davido has been taken down memory lane after seeing a demo CD of his hit single, Dami Duro.

He shared on his official Instagram page a Whatsapp chat he had with an event promoter, Cecil Hammond, who sent him a picture of the demo CD.

In the chat, Cecil hailed the father of three as he shared the picture saying he found a copy of the CD the he (Davido) brought to him some years ago.

Davido reacted in shock, thanked Cecil Hammond and revealed that he sent the CD to Hammond in 2011 hoping to be signed outside a concert.

The Risky Crooner then expressed his desire of owning the CD again and appreciated his maker for bringing him this far.

Dami Duro is the second single of Davido’s debut album Omo Baba Olowo. It was the song that shot the singer to fame and gained recognition across Africa.
