The police in Katsina state, north-western Nigeria has apprehended a 20-year-old housewife, Murja Ibrahim who is alleged to have poisoned her stepson to death.
Briefing the media, the state police public relations officer, Gambo Isah, revealed that on June 19, the father of the eight year old boy, Ibrahim Sani of Jidadi village reported that his wife has killed his son, Habibu Ibrahim.

The police officer added that a team of detectives was dispatched to the scene where the boy was subsequently taken to the hospital.
The boy was confirmed dead and Murja Ibrahim who is the second wife of the boy’s father was subsequently arrested and is assisting the police in their investigations.
