Big Brother Naija Season Five: Housemates Placed In Quarantine Ahead Of 19th July Premiering

The much-publicised fifth edition of the popular reality television show, Big Brother Naija hits the screen this 19th July.

The show’s organisers have put in place stringent measures to forestall any unfortunate coronavirus-linked incident.

In a virtual press conference, they revealed that the lucky contestants picked from over 300,000 for the show have been placed under quarantine.

The move goes in tandem with the coronavirus safety protocols put in place by the country’s health authorities.

The two-week quarantine period would help the health professionals attached to the show to test for the coronavirus.

Channel Director, Africa Magic, Wangi Mba-Uzoukwu who briefed the journalists added that some failed applicants have been placed on stand-by to replace those who might test positive to the disease.

Viewers will also be able to follow the drama this season with the DStv Now app on a smartphone, tablet or laptop anytime they do not have access to their television sets.
