Ghana’s Coronavirus Cases Surpass 20,000 With 122 Deaths
Ghana has seen a dramatic surge in the number of confirmed cases of the coronavirus disease. The country recorded almost 700 cases yesterday thereby pushing the total tally to 20,085.
The death toll from the disease which also went up by five currently stands at 122. There has also been an impressive recovery rate since the new modality was used.

A little under 15,000 people have recovered from the disease thus leaving 5,093 cases. The country places fourth with the highest number of cases on the African continent.
This is only surpassed by South Africa, Egypt and Nigeria. Africa has so far confirmed 432,421 cases with 10,646 deaths. A total of 207,148 people have so recovered.
The world-wide pandemic has so far reached 11.4 million cases since it was discovered in late last year. Total deaths as at today is 533,966.

The recovered number of cases is pegged at 6,456,346 thereby leaving a little over 4.4 million active cases.
