Foreign Students To Be Deported By USA If Schools Go Online

Foreign students in the United States risk being deported if their schools switch to online classes due to the COVID-19 pandemic, US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) reveals.

The Student and Exchange Visitors Program (SEVP) run by the ICE made an announcement of the new rules for non-immigrant students on Monday, July 6,

In the new rules, foreign nationals enrolled in the states will have to take their online class out of the country or transfer to a school with in-person or risk being deported.

The US Department of State also revealed that they will no longer issue visas to students if they are going to school that offers online courses only.
