The Black Police Officer At George Floyd’s Murder Scene Is A Nigerian

The black policeman, Alex Kueng, who was part of the four officers accused of murdering George Floyd has a Nigerian father. The deceased had been accosted for using fake currency at a shop.

Four officers were subsequently called in to effect his arrest. George Floyd was pinned to the ground and a white police officer kneeled on his neck thereby suffocating him and culminating in his death.

The murder led to a string of global protests aimed at highlighting the brutality of police personnel towards people of black heritage.

Alex Kueng’s mother, Joni in an interview expressed sadness on how things have turned out tragically. She stated that her son was emotionally drawn to the police institute after he witnessed how his fellow black men were manhandled.

Alex Kueng, 26 got sacked on his very third day at the job after the murder of George Floyd in police custody. He has since been charged with aiding and abetting the killing together with two other former colleagues.

Derek Chauvin, the officer who placed his knee on George Floyd’s neck for more than eight minutes leading to his death faces charges of second-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter.
