Elton John’s Ex-Wife Sues Him After Writing About Her In A New Book

The former wife of English singer, Sir Elton John has sued him for damages she claims she suffered after he wrote about their four year old marriage in his autobiography “Me“.

Renate Blauel, 67 is demanding a whopping £ 3 million pounds from her former husband who divorced her in 1988 to live freely as a gay man.

Documents filed at a London high court this week revealed the popular singer made some comments that broke an agreement he made with his former German wife as part of divorce proceedings over three decades ago.

Renate Blauel blames her ailing mental health on the publication thus triggering her decision to sue her former husband who she met in 1983 while working as his sound engineer.

The singer admitted he felt guilty after he initiated the whole divorce process while praising her for being the best woman she has ever dated.

Sir Elton John, who is now married to his long time Canadian partner David Furnish whom he has two sons with alogside many god-children including David Beckham’s son’s.
