Couple Arrested After They Flogged Their Eight Year Old Maid For Buying Food

A young couple have found themselves on the wrong side of the law after they got arrested for inflicting injuries on their eight-year-old house maid. 

Goodluck Ogbuji, 28 and his wife Benita Ogbuji, 26 were arrested by the Imo State police for allegedly inflicting severe injuries on the young boy, Wisdom.

It was revealed that Benita Ogbuji gave the victim a N100 note to use half of the money to buy food. The boy ended up using all the money and this infuriated her.

She beat the boy mercilessly till his body was covered in injuries. Her husband came home and also got angered by the boy’s mistake. He also flogged him throughout the night.

Wisdom’s injuries ended up on social media and it got reported to the police who were able to trace the couple and had them arrested.

Wisdom has since been in the care of some police officers who are planning to take him back to school when it resumes after learning he dropped out last year.
