Former Nigerian Footballer Musa Kadiri Falls To His Death In New York

Former Nigerian footballer Musah Nosa Kadiri has died after he fell from him New York apartment. The fall led to bleeding in his brain leading to his death last Friday.

The former national youth player grew up playing soccer on the streets of his hometown, Benin City in Edo State, Nigeria.

He played in local teams, winning local and national leagues. He also went to play soccer professionally in Europe before his stinct in coaching.

In 1995, Kadiri mobilised ex-professionals in the New York City area to form Nigeria United that competed in and won local and national tournaments.

Kadiri founded the Young Rock Soccer Academy (YRSA) in 2002 for kids between aged 4 -15 to come together in the celebration of soccer.

His funeral and burial service is scheduled on Thursday, July 30, at 491 Dekalb Ave, Brooklyn, New York.
