Sheihu Sani, a former senator for Kaduna state in Nigeria has lambasted the federal government for what he describes as selective justice in the arrest of artiste, Naira Marley whiles allowing political rallies to take place.

Nigerian artiste, Azeez Fashola, known in Showbiz as Naira Marley, was arrested some few days ago and charged for flouting some Covid-19 Protocols by holding a concert in Abuja.

There has been a ban on interstate travels and on large gatherings put in place to check the spread of Covid-19 among citizens. But Naira Marley allegedly traveled to Abuja to organize a musical concert which is seen as a clear breach of the regulation.

The former senator and human rights activist wondered where lies justice if one citizen can be arrested for flouting sections of the law whiles others are left off the hook for indulging in similar and even more dangerous activities.

Sheihu Sani took to twitter to register his displeasure. He wrote: “Where is Justice if Naira Marley can be arrested, tried and fined for violating the #COVIDー19 protocols while the Edo Political Campaigns rallies goes unchallenged by the law,by the @NCDCgov and by the PTF?”
