Lebanon’s Prime Minister And Entire Government Resigns After Deadly Explosion
Prime Minister Hassan Diab and the entire Lebanese government have resigned after the deadly explosion hit Beirut last week.
In a public speech, the PM announced his resignation saying he is taking ‘a step back’ so he can help the people ‘fight the battle for change’.

People took to the streets to protest for a change after the explosion killed at least 160 people in Beirut and left many injured.
Mr Diab repeated the phrase”I declare today the resignation of this government. May God Protect Lebanon” three times during his speech.

Three cabinet ministers and seven members of parliament resigned last week, and now the countries Prime Minister, Hassan Diab and his entire government have stepped down.
